They are so important.

We shouldn't take our moments, they are OUR moments, and rush through them.

Your life is a continual movie with the best soundtrack.

My favorite graffiti in Ames is on the Cupcake Emporium building. It says, "Be Here Now".

Love this life, and from the words of my husband, "Enjoy your memories".

Have I mentioned that Robert is amazing at continually getting me flowers so we usually have fresh flowers in the home? He's the best.

Lately I've just been realizing how much he really does for me. It makes me feel so blessed.

He always cleans:

-kitty litter
-coffee table
-random things

--feeds, plays, & brushes Aslan

I'm so grateful to have a husband that helps around the house and does cute things for me.

Fell in Love All Over Again

Have you read The Faults in Our Stars yet? If not, go now. When you are done and you need more, read Eleanor & Park.
Eleanor & Park does have more language than I prefer.
The Faults in Our Stars changed me. I never thought I would find a book like it again that I would fall in love with but this one made the list.

Both of these books are SO SIMPLE. Easy reads, but they are so beautiful and make you think about life and take you back to the feelings you felt when you were falling in love for the first time.

When you read it, not if you read it, you better tell me!

I hear Blogger is deleting blogs if you haven't posted for a while. Well, Blogger, I'M HERE. I may not post as often as I would like but that doesn't mean I want my blog deleted. So back off!

<3 you all!!

We finally put things on the wall other than the plate wall!

The living room seems a lot smaller but it feels more homey.

This is what happens when you actually stay home for a weekend instead of traveling!

I am one happy girl!

Thanks to Mr. Robert for putting everything up :)

Day of Birth

Yesterday was my birthday! I'm not one to flaunt it, so it was pretty on the DL [down low].

I did get a million Facebook post [thanks by the way!].

At about 3:00 my work surprised me with cupcake from the local cupcake shop! Love me some cupcakes.

After work the house was tidy and presents waiting for me on the table from Robert. And... OREO ICE CREAM CAKE!

We drove to Des Moines for Red Robin, my favorite. The waiter let me have a fancy lemonade instead if dessert for my birthday!

Then we went to "Now You See Me", it was incredible! It like "Inception" good. I would recommend it for all!

Robert got me two vinyl records [Florence + The Machine & Bon Iver], chewy war heads, and a GO GIRL! Now I can pee wherever I want!!!

Twas a great celebration of birth!

Since one of the two friends I have in Ames was out of town on my actually birthday, we'll have a friends celebration tonight :)

Thanks mommy for giving birth to me so I could enjoy this beautiful thing called life!

Aslan Issac Van Haaften was brought into our lives.

We learning more about him everyday.
He can be whiny, crazy, a biter, hold grudges, playful, cuddly (sometimes), curious, and funny.
 We love him.
