Good Finds!!

This week I got some awesome radical finds!!!

I was at the Walnast (Walmart) and I saw they had some fabric on clearance. I looked and they were $1.50 a yard!! Can I get a, "Whaaa?!" So... I bought two yards each of these fabrics. And since most were close to being all gone, the kind lady gave me more for the price of two yards. Adorable fabric, 12+ yards, $15.00 later= Happy Talia!! (SHHHHH! ;) Don't tell my husband)

 Also, at Walnast, I asked for one of these containers so I can do this for a lucky someone.

 Now. At Michael's. All of this is from the $1 aisle!! This is an incredible deal. Normally cupcake liners are $1.15ish for 50 liners (and they are plain). These ones were $1.00, 75 count, and FREAKIN ADORABLE!!! Naturally I got a lot, plus I already have some on the stove. Oh! and the cute notebook?? $1.00. (obviously, I like hot air balloons. Leave me alone!)

 THRIFT WORLD!! I got these beauties at the thrift store for $2.00. The two on the right match and the other one is an odd ball. Just imagine, them painted and on my wall. I might not use all of them, but I will figure some project to do... you might just receive one for a gift!

One last thing. Pringles are on sale at Walnast for $1.00... keep that in mind so you can do THIS.

I GRAJUATED!! 2012!

I graduated from the a hard rewarding program this weekend. I am now one of the newest ASL interpreters out there!!

Dreams come true. My AHHHMAZING FAMILY got me a KitchenAid for my graduation present! NBD.

 Today, I did one more crafty thing, and then finished....wait for it....drum roll.... my plate wall!!

I will probably add more later, but at least I got it up on the wall!!

I also found a silver platter at the thrift store, painted it, and put some chalkboard paint on it. Those are some of my cute nieces and nephews!! Love them. This isn't the most clean pretty piece of craft, but... I like it. It's above my desk.

 

Successful Day Two!

Change of plans!

After one or two (maybe 3) Grey's Anatomy my best friend here in Omaha, Dani (who is also an amazing photographer) asked me if I wanted to do a craft day!!! Obviously I said, "YAY!" and went over. We went to JOANNS and got some good stuff. Dani is like craft queen and has everything, love her. Anyways, we made these amazing pillows.

 Ignore the messy background (and creepy cat side of the blanket). I wanted to include the rug in the picture, but since our bed is in our living room, it's covered up....

Originally I made the normal pillow, like the one below, but I wanted something different, so I made up this little tie/knot thing. It's not the most even and prettiest, but I LOVE IT.

The first pillow I made was the green one. After it was done, I slipped the pillow in and it was too fat! It was bursting out of the pillow. So, got this little hair tie and conjured up some way to attach it, it was difficult but got it to work!! And since Dani is amazing she had a button. :) Sewed it on and voila! And the blue one, is just a normal one, but still so cute!

Last craft, but not least....

MY KEY HOLDER!!!!

I got the plain wood frame and JOANNS and then painted it. Dani had some crackle paint, but it didn't work :(. That's okay! Dani has a silhouette. She is awesome, like I said. Anyways, it cut out the keys and then stuck it on the paper! 

I would say,CRAFT DAY WAS A SUCCESS!!!!

Guilty Pleasure

I graduate this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I want to do is be crafty this week. I don't have school at all this week because my program is awesome. Nevertheless, we're poor and I can't be crafty. I have all this time and so, I watch Grey's Anatomy. Our bed is in the living room because it have been so hot (we have a window unit,sucks).
So, I lay in bed and watch my guilty pleasure.
